Your Role:

As a Construction Manager, supporting our Construction Management team in our Los Angeles office, you will act as the day-to-day lead for projects, responsible for proactively overseeing all the activities of the projects and working closely with our clients to deliver their projects.


  • Daily personal interactions with clients, designers, owners, contractors, inspectors, and regulatory agencies
  • Direct and supervise field construction activities and staff, materials testing, field contract administration
  • Review contractor's schedule, respond to claims received from contractor, documenting progress of project, and respond to requests for information, submittals and change orders
  • Responsible for project success and for facilitating the resolution of all project issues in a fair and firm manner
  • Assure project is constructed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, budget, and schedule
  • Coordinate and manage all Psomas sub-consultants

Required Qualifications:

  • California Professional Engineering License
  • 10+ Years' experience inside Caltrans Right of Way
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field
  • Ability to work as a team member with limited supervision
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to timely communicate project issues to the various project participants
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience working in various document control systems
  • Strong Leadership abilities
  • Experience working on high-profile complex projects
  • Proven ability to win new work
