Your Role:

As a Senior Project Manager, you will utilize your expertise to contribute work performed on Transportation projects while working closely with the entire Construction Management team, the Senior Project Manager will direct and participate in all aspects of project delivery including pursing work, lead business development efforts, participation in proposals and interviews, subcontract negotiations and client management.


  • Leading business development efforts and pursuit planning
  • Participate in proposal preparation and interviews
  • Providing technical oversight and review of project activities
  • Managing staff, budgeting, scheduling, and cost estimating
  • Acting as client advocate while maintaining client satisfaction
  • Daily personal interactions with public agency clients, designers, owners, contractors, inspectors, and regulatory agencies
  • Direct and supervise field construction activities and staff, materials testing, field contract administration
  • Review contractor's schedule, responding to claims received from contractor, documenting progress of project, and answering requests for information, submittals and change orders
  • Responsible for project success and for facilitating the resolution of all project issues in a fair and firm manner
  • Assure project is constructed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, budget, and schedule
  • Coordinate and manage all sub-consultants

Required Qualifications:

  • Licensed California Professional Engineer (PE)
  • 10+ years' transportation experience (roadway, highway, bridge)
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to timely communicate project issues to the various project participants
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • In depth knowledge of Caltrans and FHWA procedures
  • Proven ability to win work with clients
