As one of the top-ranked consulting engineering firms in the nation, providing surveying, engineering, construction management and environmental services, we have an opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our Engineering team in our San Diego office.

Your Role: 

As a Project Engineer, you will utilize your expertise to organize and execute the technical quality and coordination of site, street/roads, utilities and drainage projects for public agency clients.



  • Conducting independent engineering calculations
  • Utilizing AutoCad Civil3D and/or MicroStation
  • Developing innovative, conceptual engineering solutions
  • Transforming concept designs into construction drawings and technical specifications
  • Researching and analyzing necessary aspects of the project
  • Providing support to the project team and various clients
  • Assisting in the design process while utilizing various software and programs

Required Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • A minimum of 5 years' civil engineering experience with site development, facilities, infrastructure and public works design
  • Local knowledge of agency permitting and stormwater requirements
  • Knowledge of Civil3D, AutoCAD, MicroStation, Navisworks and BIM 360
  • In-depth knowledge of the noted software programs and system requirements for those software packages
  • Experience in preparing technical reports, designs, specifications, and computations
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
